About Gentile's Bakery - Catering - Deli

Gentile's Bakery, Catering & Deli has been family owned and operated since 1993. At a young age, Filippo and Rachele moved from a small town, Macchiagodena located in the region of Molise in Italy. They worked hard to save up for their dream. The family opened up a little store on on Ridge Road in Parma 20 years ago preparing pizza and subs for their customers. Deciding to expand the business, they moved to Old Brooklyn and added bakery and catering. For 18 years, through thick and thin, good times and bad, the family stood by each other working hard to one day build Filippo's and Rachele's dream; a beautiful store now open and located at 5626 Broadview Road in Parma.

We heard their Italian subs were good. Stopped in today to try one. Not too bad!! I love the Italian peppers which they do not have here. But, overall if you’re looking for something good to eat, stop here!! They had cookies and lots of other stuff to pick from as well.

Such a staple in Parma! Their sandwiches are incredible along with the baked goods and pizza. Definitely give them a shot if you haven't already. Finally tried their catering and SO impressed. We had a restaurant back out on a luncheon and called them the day before for 50+ people and they made it happen. We got meal 1 off their website but they had to substitute for chicken cutlets due to the short notice and honestly that worked out better. The potatoes were soooooo good. I'd definitely cater again from here.

I am a fat man, who has traveled a great many miles in my time on this earth; you can take it to the bank when I tell you this is some of the best food I've ever had. The pizza is excellent, and that alone is enough to make a trip of any distance worthwhile. It also hosts an excellent general bakery, with fantastic sweets and deserts. The cold deli has a huge offering of meats, cheeses, freshly prepared in house entrees and sides. There is also a dry grocery (well stocked and varied) and an excellent drinks selection. Very friendly people. The prices are down to earth. All around, a complete gem filled with awesome folks.

The food here is really great. I enjoy going here a lot on lunch and getting pizza slices because it’s a cheap lunch and they have really tasty pizza. The bakery has amazing Italian bread made fresh and I love the chocolate covered shell cannolis they have too. Tammy is really nice at the register and everyone there is always nice and helpful - very casual friendly neighborhood business. Also they make amazing cakes. I had them make a chocolate cassata cake for my baby shower this past fall, and it was so delicious. The frosting isn’t heavy at all and tastes light and fluffy whipped cream. Everyone couldn’t get enough of it and it made us consider finding a reason to get another chocolate cassata cake haha πŸ˜† The only thing is that this isn’t a huge store so there isn’t a lot of room for tables. There are some in the back. Most people take out but when you wait for stuff you ordered there really isn’t a lot of room to stand. This place also is busy because it’s very popular.
